Very proud of my 3-year old toddler who can translate English words to Bisaya. I always converse with her in Bisaya, and if her dad doesn’t understand it, she always translates for him. As a second-generation American, I believe it’s important for her to embrace her Filipino culture and heritage.
But hey, isn’t it great to be able to communicate in a second language?
